FEATURES AND FREE SESSIONS ANNOUNCED FOR THE PRODUCTION SHOW 2002

The UK’s leading event for the production, post production, broadcast, audio and video technology industries – The Production Show has now confirmed the features that will run for the three day event from 21st – 23rd May 2002 at the National Hall, Olympia. All features are free and cover a range of interests for visitors, including many free seminar sessions and technology workshops.
Six weeks after NAB, The Production Show will provide the first UK opportunity to show, see and talk with clients about the new technologies unveiled in Las Vegas. For 2002 the exhibition will continue to cover the whole spectrum of technology and creative services with a mix that enables large manufacturers to exhibit alongside their resellers, as well as smaller creative and specialist services. There will also be six main conference streams led by a host of key speakers, which will be announced on March 1st.
The main features available are:
· The Audio Zone, a range of free sessions available on relevant industry topics, endorsed by IBS and APPS, AMPS and Digidesign. Aimed at anyone involved with audio for the moving picture industry, from a producer setting sound budgets, to an audio post-production editor, to a sound recording engineer.
· The Engineering Technology Centre is aimed at Engineers working for either broadcasters or facilities. Produced in association with Cheff (Chief Engineers of Facilities Forum), and sponsored by Leitch the sessions will tackle the latest topics in Engineering and Production Technology. There will also be a number of key exhibitors.
· The Production Services & Craft Village. The area is designed for smaller, creative and craft based companies and includes a series of free workshops in association with BAFTA, Guild of Television Cameraman, the Society of TV Lighting Directors and PMA.

· The Learning Zone is endorsed by Skillset and after the success of 2001 will be even bigger this year. There will be more sessions available as well as many training providers taking stands within the zone enabling individuals to gain careers advice, find out about training courses and vocational qualifications and speak to training providers directly about booking courses. All sessions must be pre-booked via www.skillset.org.
· The Locations Village remains Europe's only forum for producers, production managers, location managers, finders and scouts to meet location services companies, film friendly locations and international film commissions.
