Everyclick.com goes digital with Clear Channel Outdoor

Everyclick.com, the search engine that gives half its revenue to charity, today announced it is working on a digital poster advertising campaign in London with Clear Channel Outdoor, the UK’s market leader in outdoor advertising.

Digital poster screens located on major arterial routes in and out of London will carry an Everyclick.com advertising campaign for two weeks. The sites, ranging from Vauxhall in the south to Archway Road in the north, use energy-efficient technology and allow the creative to be uploaded remotely, thereby minimising the campaign’s environmental impact.

Polly Gowers, co-founder of Everyclick.com says: “We’re delighted to be working with Clear Channel Outdoor to encourage more Londoners to become ‘wuggers’ by using Everyclick.com. Wugging, or web use giving, allows web users to generate money for causes they care about without it costing them anything in terms of time or money. This advertising campaign will raise awareness of our brand, and the website URL, with web users across the capital.”

Pip Hainsworth, Marketing Director of Clear Channel Outdoor, says: “Our digital boards are situated in the capital’s busiest and highest profile locations allowing Everyclick to showcase its brand in front of 12.5 million* busy and affluent Londoners during its two week campaign. We’re delighted to be working with Everyclick.com on this project and look forward to seeing the results of the campaign as more Londoners become wuggers!”.

Everyclick.com works like any other search engine, allowing users to search for information, news and images but users can specify which of the UK’s 170,000 charities they would like to support through their clicks. Everyclick.com then makes monthly payments to every registered charity.

Launched in June 2005 Everyclick.com is now the eighth largest search engine and one of the busiest charity websites in the UK. The site has more than 1,000,000 unique uses, has yielded over 8 million page impressions and has over 70,500 registered uses.
