DECK LEISURE FINDS THE QUAY TO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Added: (Wed Sep 12 2001)

Deck Leisure Ltd of Bristol has appointed Mercury Marine as a distributor for its Quayside water sports leisurewear in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands following assistance from Trade Partners UK.

The company met its distributor while on a joint Trade Partners UK and British Marine Industries Federation trade mission to the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in Queensland this May. While in Queensland, 14 UK companies met 100 key figures in the Australian Marine Industry at events organised by the British Consulate-General in Brisbane.

The company’s business development manager, Pete Dury, will return to Australia in September to work alongside Mercury Marine to develop his company’s distribution programme. He also hopes to attend the Sanctuary Cove show again next year. "The opportunities in the South Pacific are tremendous, it could become our biggest market," he said.
