Candela Live (www.candelalive.co.uk), Britain’s first online Latin American and Spanish lifestyle magazine, launched this week to serve one of the country’s fastest growing communities.

Britain has a 700,000-strong*, mostly London-based, Latin American community who are changing the way we live and what we eat, listen and dance to.

Candela Live showcases local Iberian and Latin American talent, providing a platform for this large ex-pat community, while also appealing to the swelling number of Brits interested in the regions that have given the world salsa, tango, tapas and tacos.

Candela Live’s Editor Amaranta Wright was born in Argentina, brought up in London and has covered Latin America as a journalist and published author over the last 15 years.

She has teamed up with Venezuelan-born Jose Luis, the UK's biggest Urban Latin DJ, promoter and music connoisseur, to create a winning combination: a comprehensive guide to what’s on in the UK – from the best Latin and Spanish clubnights, restaurants and concerts to arts, exhibitions, dance shows - and a quality magazine packed with interesting articles about Latin America, Spain, Portugal and their diasporas in the UK and throughout the globe.

Candela Live is the media partner for the annual London Latin music festival La Linea (Which Time Out has described as “One of the world's most eclectic celebrations of Latin Music”) and Carnaval del Pueblo, Europe’s largest outdoor Latin American event.

Whether you want to know about the latest trend in Brazilian music, find a language or dance class, read an interview with a visiting artist or search for your local Mexican restaurant, Candela Live has something for everyone.

It is free, updated daily and published entirely in English.
