Blueclaw Media, the Leeds based internet marketing agency, is celebrating being shortlisted for two prestigious DADI awards following staggering success with one of Europe's largest online golf retailers, www.direct-golf.co.uk.

Now in their third year, The DADIs (the abbreviation for The Drum Awards for the Digital Industries) are national awards and are hosted by the The Drum, the leading magazine for the UK digital industries. Blueclaw Media has been nominated for the “Best Use of Organic Search (SEO)” and “Best Use of Paid Search (SEM)” categories. The entry criteria are extremely tough for the DADI awards and the selection process is highly competitive. So much so, that for the category “Best use of Paid Search (SEM)”, Blueclaw was the only agency to make the necessary grade.

The highly impressive search engine optimisation campaign created and orchestrated by Blueclaw Media increased non-paid search traffic to the Direct Golf UK website by over 24% compared to the same period last year. Crucially, this extra traffic provided an increase in sales transactions from this traffic source of over 40%.

In addition, the SEO experts at Blueclaw media were able to cement top three Google rankings for extremely competitive phrases including ‘Golf shoes’, ‘Golf Bags‘, Golf Equipment’, and ‘Golf Clubs’ within just 6 months. Plus, traffic increased significantly on other popular search terms, including “golf balls for sale’ which increased by 685%.

For pay per click advertising, Blueclaw increased conversion rates (every time a visitor clicks on from a search engine and proceeds through to a sale or information request) by 186%, while reducing the cost per conversion for Direct Golf UK by 76.5%; dramatically improving the value for money of their advertising spend.

The award ceremony for the DADI Awards 2009 will take place at the Royal Armouries, Leeds on Friday 13 November and will be the highlight of Digital Week 2009. Digital Week celebrates and promotes every area of the digital and creative sector and, for the second year running, will be taking place across Yorkshire in association with Leeds Live it Love it; with events taking place across the region from the 9 November 2009.
