30th September 2001 – Preloved Classifieds (http://www.preloved.co.uk), one of the most popular UK free ads websites, has seen a number of strange things happening on their site in the last month. Has the build up to Halloween been affecting their members?

Preloved have started to investigate these strange occurrences. These are just some of the adverts placed in the last few weeks, “Wolfie needs help” “Don’t go outside its too scary” which is all about a lonely heart looking for someone to stay in bed with and listen to radiohead!.

There is also an advert for a “Ouija board for sale” for just £20, although the owner is demanding the board is given the up most respect.

One Preloved member has even placed an advert asking for people to tell him their ghostly stories. He is a local historian researching any ghostly or supernatural experiences in the UK.

The main business of Preloved classifieds is free adverts, but our forum area has not been immune to the strangeness taking over the site.

In the Preloved forum area people have been discussing a number of weird and wonderful issues. One of the discussions that first came to light was “Mystery of the New Forest Gas Bottles” next it was “Missing Bunk” and now the Preloved members are discussing “There’s a ghost on my bike!” . This last discussion is all about how ghost shifts occur when you push your bicycle to the limits, a strange phenomenon which seems to be happening to cyclists all over the UK.

Stephen King, part of the technical department at Preloved said “Everyday we all rush to look through the forums to see what’s going to come up next, its quite exciting”

The number of spooky screen names members have chosen for themselves have also increased with names such as ghoulmaster, ghost blade and devil hunter.

Staff at Preloved are becomingly increasingly worried and hope that things return to normal as soon as Halloween passes.
