PRIME’S SUCCESS AT AWARD CEREMONIES

At the recent Digital Printer Awards that took place at Café Royal, London, on 11 November Prime Group was nominated in two award categories.
Prime Group took the top prize in the "Calendar" category having impressed the judges with such an innovative and personalised product.
The company was "highly commended" by the judges in the category "Innovative Use Of Variable Data" for which Prime Group has created a unique series of personalised Noddy stories in which children (for whom the books are being ordered) can be easily incorporated into the stories resulting in highly individual presents. Not only do the stories feature cartoon versions of the children but their names are also incorporated into every aspect of the stories.
The following evening at the British Book Design & Publishing Awards 2008, which took place at the London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, Prime went on to have the Noddy books that they print on behalf of HarperCollins and Penwizard win the “Digitally Printed Books” category.
Commenting on the category, the judges said: “This concept shines out as an example of digital printing and publishing being used to create a brand new take on an older idea — the personalised children's book.”
