CHICAGO TOWN POTATO WEDGES NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

Frozen Potato specialist Cheviot Foods has teamed up with pizza giant Schwan, to introduce a range of premium coated wedges, to add to the fast growing Chicago Town brand.
Set to make their debut in March, the portfolio consists of Four Cheese & Red Onion, Crusted Garlic & Herb, Jalapeño Chilli and Cheesy Nacho. Tagged with the strapline “Great for Sharing”, the wedges are ideal both on side of plate at mealtimes or as a finger snack with friends.
Ian Lindsay, Sales and Marketing Director at Cheviot Foods said, “The Potato Wedge sector has grown substantially in the last few years. Chicago Town Wedges will add to that growth, bringing a new benchmark in coating and flavour delivery to the sector.
We have been bowled over by the feedback from research. Consumers recognised the superior flavour and versatility of these wedges and indications are that we will bring a lot of new buyers into the category.
The association with Chicago Town was seen as a perfect match, and with the strong growth of the brand and a massive above-the-line campaign in 2005, these wedges are sure to become a must-have stock item in the potato category very quickly.”
The premium wedges, which come in distinctive 750g bags will retail at £1.89.
