Schwarzeneger's Bigest Role Yet

Added: (Wed Jan 20 2010)

Pressbox (Press Release) - After claiming the State Bar must be "beyond reproach" in his recent veto of its 2010 funding bill, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is being asked to sign a so-called "urgency measure" which fails to address his veto message concerns.

As State Bar members, the public and media were discovering even more State Bar mismanagement and corruption which includes the imprisonment and disbarment of lawyers attempting to blow the whistle on the lawyer's group,
this new bill was hastily passed by the Legislature.

What objecting State Bar members find equally offensive is that this was all done with ethical complaints pending against the State Bar lobbyist and legislative counsel filed in connection with allegations of political tampering in the passage of funding legislation.

One winner in this fiasco could be Schwarzenegger, who can distance himself from the "girlie-men" special interest legislators he has criticized by refusing to sign this bill which mocks his previous veto.

But the biggest winner will be the lawyers of California as well as the citizens they represent.
