Legal fairies give joy to local charity

Staffordshire law firm Ansons LLP entered a team of eight ladies who adorned their ‘wings and wands’ for this year’s St Giles Hospice Solstice Walk.
The walk took place on Sunday 21st June and covered nine miles around Lichfield. As well as the lady walkers a number of male staff from Ansons LLP attended in support and provided refreshments for the team.
Simon James, senior partner at Ansons LLP commented: “The ladies, or should I say fairies, did very well and all finished in one piece. At this stage I don’t know the exact amount of money raised, but I feel sure we will get to £1,000 based on what we have raised so far”.
St Giles Hospice is Ansons LLP’s designated charity for 2009, and the firm is aiming to raise as much sponsorship as it can through entering a variety of events including the Lichfield Cathedral Dash and the ‘Ansons Solicitors Lichfield 10K’ run, which takes place on Sunday 6th September.
