Burnetts is Cumbria’s Top Firm

Burnetts is Cumbria’s highest ranking solicitors’ practice in the latest edition of The Legal 500, the annual guide to UK law firms and one of only two firms in the county to make the prestigious list.
The Carlisle solicitors now holds 16th place in the north (including Newcastle).
As well as ranking firms according to the number of legal advisers, The Legal 500 also includes thoroughly researched commendations of firms and individuals: more than half of Burnetts’ partners had been recommended to the authors by their clients and peers.
Senior Partner, John Morris who was praised for his “wealth of knowledge on employment law issues” said, “The Legal 500 is well used in the corporate and legal worlds to identify robust firms and individual specialists. Burnetts has increased in size by 10% since last year’s edition and edged further up the ranking. We advise most of Cumbria’s top organizations and we work nationwide in sectors like education - it’s important to us, as individuals and as a firm, to get this kind of national recognition.”
John Noctor, Head of Burnetts’ Company Commercial department was described as “experienced and adept” while Vaughan Jones was “highly regarded”. Vicki Jagger, Head of the firm’s Medical Law department was singled out for her, “strong reputation for birth trauma cases”. Meanwhile, Burnetts’ Agricultural department was praised for its “high-quality advice” and John Priddle’s “considerable expertise” in commercial property matters was highlighted.
