London- Interactive agency Pancentric Digital has saddled up with horse insurance specialist Petplan Equine and British equestrian champion Lucinda Green MBE, to launch a 3D- world support portal aimed at horse owners, enthusiasts and riders of all experience.
The portal (www.yourstables.co.uk) is styled as a working stables complete with walk-through tack room and horse clinic and supports Petplan Equine’s 2009 “Wherever equine” brand campaign.
Over the coming months the site is to provide a wealth of horse care support information and advice to include interactive anatomical guides and ‘how-to’ videos. Lucinda Green functions as a real-life avatar throughout the site.
Commenting on the website, Petplan Equine marketing manager, Alison Andrew, says, “Riders and horse owners increasingly use the internet to access information on products, events and health issues. Through the site, we are combining all of these aspects into one area. There will be offers on equestrian products, tickets to events and other equestrian services as well as fun and informative videos and games and much more. The wealth of rich content coupled with stunning 3D visuals perfectly exemplifies our goal of creating the number one destination site for all equine needs.”
James Bruce, Creative Director at Pancentric Digital, says “Our aim was to capture the essence of working life in a real stable yard, from the layout and architecture to the apparatus and equipment. This involved in-depth photographic, video and audio research of working stables and their associated paraphernalia so we could create accurate, interactive environments.”
The website is designed to capture the imagination of the visitor by taking them on an impressive 3D tour of a working yard. Individuals will have the freedom to ‘roam’ the website, through a mix of 360-degree mouse control and conventional menus and choose the areas that appeal to them, including The Tack Room, The Stables, and The Horse Clinic. Inside each section, there are downloadable articles and short films on topics such as pre-purchase vetting, handy grooming hints, and back care. The website will be updated regularly enabling riders to get involved in new disciplines, discover events, and increase their knowledge of their horses in general. All sound and animation is by Pancentric Digital’s in-house sound and rich media production unit.
