Pressbox (Press Release) - techjobscotland announces a record number of jobs on site

Edinburgh based company mobo media announces a record number of live Scottish tech./IT jobs displayed on their job board www.techjobscotland.com. The site operates as an independent job site focussing on technology jobs throughout Scotland.

A mere five months since the site’s inception in November 2002, techjobscotland now displays a greater number of jobs within its niche sector than many of its giant competitors such as S1jobs, CWjobs, Reed, GoJobsite and Scottish Appointments.

Director, Clare de Mowbray said, “I am delighted with the level of enthusiasm shown by Scottish recruiters. The response has been overwhelming and it proves that there really is a position in the market for a niche site such as ours.” Despite the general doom and gloom regarding Scotland’s IT industry at present, Clare feels this is not entirely justified. “We have over 300 live jobs displayed on the site from a wide range of companies and agencies. We’ve found it very encouraging that new recruiters are coming onboard and posting quality jobs on a daily basis.”

The competition faced by techjobscotland is the market dominance of well established, larger generic job boards. However, Clare does not view this as a problem; “We see techjobscotland as the local deli, a specialised service focussing more on high quality listings and faultless customer care. The larger boards are comparable to a hypermarket; the net result can be more impersonal and may not suit every Scottish tech. jobseekers’ requirements.”
