eCar - Surf the Net Whilst Driving.
Web usability specialists Bunnyfoot have developed a prototype ‘Internet-enabled car’, affectionately known as the ‘Bunnymobile’. The Bunnymobile is equipped with an Internet connection, made possible by HSDCS mobile phone technology. Instead of a computer screen, the specially adapted car has been fitted with a speech browser. The result is a speaking Internet browser that enables drivers to listen to online information whilst keeping their eyes on the road.
Rob Stevens Business Director at Bunnyfoot said: "We expect this technology to be of great benefit to the busy executive car commuter or sales representative. It allows motorists to turn their car into an extension of their office transforming the daily grind of the commute or drive to a client/meeting into a chance to prepare for the day or meeting ahead."
Imagine driving to a meeting and being able to surf the clients web site on the way there, checking your stocks and shares online then listen to your emails. Just think what that could do for your career, the possibilities for being better informed and efficient are tremendous. The eCar will give people the opportunity to work on the move and may one day even have an effect on house prices – if the daily commute gives you a chance to do 2 hours extra work a day why pay a premium to live in the city?
Full technical specifications will be available free of charge when Bunnyfoot has consulted with their Lawyers.
