Added: (Sun Sep 20 2009)

Pressbox (Press Release) - If you love to go on holiday with a good book, then visit the beautiful Calderdale in the South Pennines for your next getaway.

Calderdale is becoming renowned for its excellent Reader’s and Writers’ Festival – a fantastic celebration of writing talent, poetry, creativity and books.

This year’s Festival started in August but it continues into October with a month of exciting events for both readers and writers.

The festival will include author events, writing workshops, book swaps and quizzes, as well as fun for both children and adults alike.

Events take place at locations all over Calderdale, including Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd, birthplace of former poet laureate and author, Ted Hughes. Events celebrating the life and work of Mytholmroyd’s most famous son will take place in the village on 23rd to 25th October 2009.

There will be plenty of other literary events taking place in libraries and other venues around Calderdale. You’ll be so inspired to grab a book and start reading that you’ll need to book some comfortable accommodation in which to curl up with a good book.

Look no further than Croftmill, the new star attraction in Hebden Bridge, which is situated at the heart of Calderdale.

Croftmill is a recently converted mill in the heart of the town offering 4-star accommodation to the discerning holidaymaker or business traveller.

‘Croft Mill’ has been lovingly restored to offer 12 immaculate and stylish 4-star self-catering holiday apartments to suit all needs and budgets and, with its central location, is the ideal base from which to enjoy everything the Reader’s and Writer’s Festival has to offer.

Croft Mill can accommodate 45 guests in 12 apartments ranging from Standard (which is anything but) to a luxury Penthouse. The Mill even boasts a rooftop conservatory that is available to book for small functions.

The Croft Mill website at www.croftmill.com contains photography and a virtual tour of each luxurious apartment and there are more special offers as well as a booking enquiry form, a list of local events and information about the town and surrounding area.
