Recently i had time to speak to people in the Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CCCE), at the kind invitation to address it. I gave a lecture on digital innovation and brand new opportunities that are starting in this area. Attended many of the members of this non-profit organization that seeks to become a mobilizer for companies in transactional technology adaptation and promote electronic business. Its members include businesses for example Carrefour, Avianca, Google, Falabella and Obligations Online among others.
Following my lecture, I had the chance to consult with several attendees and encouraged me personally greatly to see the actual enthusiasm for that potential of digital businesses in the united states. There are lots of factors which Colombia is really a sluggish relative to other countries in the area when it comes to adoption of electronic commerce where many experts forecast development of a minimum of 40% over the area, with Brazil leading the majority of the market.
Among the factors that hinder the introduction of digital commerce in Colombia may be the mistrust and how the implementation of logistics within the country. Another factor may be the requirement for more high-level proposals for electronic business. After my conversations which some of these assistants, my personal perception is this fact will be changing in the near future not just by current players but also by beginners entering the marketplace.
The actual CCCE has an important role in promoting e-commerce issues and also runs an annual event which brings together just about all major players in the market. Over the last event in August this year I had the chance to give a pitch concerning the opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship. As always from these events, I fulfilled several entrepreneurs impressive as Oscar Giraldo, CEO and founder of Arcaris and Dario Palacios, co-founder of Kactoos at that time.
Thanks to the CCCE along with other endeavours for example Telefonica Wayra, the Creator Institute and Campus Party, I'm starting to observe signs that Colombia will most likely awaken in the region associated with ??digital businesses. Today, increasingly more gamers from other countries who are performing excellent work in Colombia, yet it's essential to supplement these efforts with more applications generated from Colombia. The winds are positive which is time to accelerate the pace for that Colombian e-commerce continues to grow apace.
