TAMBA WINS DESIGN AWARD AT LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL

Birmingham web design agency, TAMBA Internet, last night scooped a prestigious award at the inaugural Y Design Awards, a new initiative launched as part of the London Design Festival, which recognises and celebrates the UK’s leading creative talent demonstrated through the use of digital technology.
TAMBA was named the winner in the “Best online campaign by an agency with less than 5 employees” category and was the only agency based outside London to win in any of the 10 categories. TAMBA MD, Kay Hammond and Jeremy Rider, Lead Creative, were there to collect the award.
In honour of the technology’s 10th anniversary, this year’s award scheme centred on Macromedia® Flash® by Adobe®, the design industry’s most advanced authoring environment for creating interactive websites, digital experiences & mobile content.
The award was presented for a viral game produced for BBC TV presenter, Chris Beardshaw. The game is a mix of platform gameplay and quiz formats and has been in the top 10 on the UK Viral Chart for over 3 months, having had over 1 million plays.
Three viral games produced by TAMBA for Europa Group, a leading UK insurance broker, were runners up in this category.

TAMBA is also currently shortlisted in the Best Use of Viral Category at the Net Imperative Digital Awards 2006, due to be announced in mid-October.
