Recipezaar To Go Puts Recipes and Shopping Lists on Your Handheld Device

Recipezaar launches Recipezaar To Go, a new service for users to take their favorite recipes and shopping lists with them to the grocery store using the popular personal digital assistants (PDAs). Recipezaar is the first recipe web site to extend this functionality to handheld devices.
Since its launch in July of 2000, Recipezaar has offered users personalized My Cookbook and My Shopping List features at www.recipezaar.com. Users are able to save their favorite recipes, from among the thousands currently in the Recipezaar database, to their own Cookbook for easy access, as well as create Shopping Lists, which automatically group the ingredients needed for any number of recipes into an easy to print out check list.
"Naturally, we wanted to make these features available to our users wherever they may go," said CEO, Gay Gilmore. "You need access your shopping list when you are at the store, and you need your recipes in the kitchen. PDAs allow users to get at their personal content, when they need it most."
No other recipe web site offers the ability to take your favorites recipes and shopping list with you on the road. Furthermore, Recipezaar To Go has completely optimizes the presentation and content for the screen size, and unique properties of these devices, using the latest XML and scripting technologies.
The Recipezaar To Go program supports both a live internet connection through wireless access, as well as offline access to the content via synchronization with a desktop computer. The Recipezaar To Go service is completely free, and works with all Palm, Visor, and PocketPC devices.
