Re-Vitalize Your Job Search

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire. - July 5 - It's easy to become discouraged while searching for a job. In fact it happens to most people at some point during the process. It is easy to become too complacent with one method of job search to the exception of others.
Today's jobseekers should use a combination of online and offline resources, check their local newspaper classifieds, utilize the services of their local Unemployment Services office, and networking groups.
Now there are countless numbers of job search sites. Many of the sites allow you to apply online. To be successful a job seeker is probably registered at numerous sites. Keeping track of the jobs, companies and correspondence can take up a large part of your day (or many hours while preparing the Unemployment Work Search Logs).
JobSearchLog is a free web application designed to help job seekers keep track of their Job Search Activities. It is designed to be a central repository to store information about the jobs you apply for, your contacts, the correspondence you send (in or out of the application), attached resume and reporting on your search.
Job Search Log is designed by Michael Brennan-White,a web programmer with first hand experience with long term unemployment and a direct result of his search for a way to organize his search. There wasn't a program that helped him keep track of his activities (especially while he was supporting his family on unemployment payments). While he was unemployed, Brennan-White didn't feel he could justify the time to spend developing such an application but he started writing after his kids went to bed when a family member lost her job.
Brennan-White's efforts have paid off. JobSearchLog can be used for free at http://jobsearchlog.com and organizations assisting jobseekers are encouraged to link to the site. Contact them by email at info@jobsearchlog.com or by phone at 1-603-397-0073.
