Proxy Proxy Hits the Web to Eases Online Freedom of Speech

Added: (Wed Jan 18 2012)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Proxy Proxy (http://www.proxyproxy.org) is necessary in certain countries, especially where Arab Spring still lasts. People there cannot access social media sites because censorship is strict. And those sites are essential platforms for accurate information sharing.

Proxy servers are not new idea in online community, there are millions out there. But demand for reliable proxies like Proxy Proxy is rapidly growing just as online population grows fast. In real life we always use some “proxy” between alternative that defies official ideology to get what we need. If parents don’t let you go out at night you activate your “proxy”, older brother to come with you. When officials restrict something you can use “proxy”, better say money, to convince right person to set up the right away.

On the Web when you want to bypass some firewall you use mostly web proxy servers. Proxy Proxy as anonymous open proxy hides your IP address during online session. Be aware, you are not invisible because there is no total online anonymity. Professionals can cover Web fingerprints but most of us are not competent. If you do something illegal law enforcement will find you easy. Proxy Proxy is not for criminal. Web proxies are enough for basic barriers avoidance. For serious confidential information exchange or financial transactions there are some other tools.

So, how Proxy Proxy works? Proxy server is mediator between two PCs, one as a service asking client and the other as a service provider (SP). The proxy server evaluates the applicant ask, filters it and interacts with the SP on the client’s behalf. Then evaluates and filters response from SP before handing them off to client.

Proxy Proxy is Web proxy and serves as anonymous server for Web seeking clients. Every time you access information on a website, the destination web server logs your Internet Protocol address, which shows your location, name of your Internet service provider and your browser information. Web proxies hide all of these information and take care of your online anonymity.

Corporate networks usually use proxy servers to restrict employee connection to the Web and other computer networks. Educational institutions and parents wishing to restrict Web access can also benefit from using a proxy server. In this case, the proxy server cuts out inappropriate content (adult, gambling, violence…). Some parental-control Web services use a proxy server to let users before accessing the Web and to forbid access to an approved list of websites.

During processing repeated asks from same client, a proxy server can cache results of requests in its memory. This can save the proxy server making identical "trips" to the same SP. Client then identify a faster response to its seek. Companies can take advantage of a caching proxy service to reduce costs for employee bandwidth use.

Some proxy server operators can abuse client’s data that flows through it, because proxies are intermediaries between clients and its destinations. That is not case with Proxy Proxy, because data may be use only for detecting and preventing illegal use and statistical purposes.
