New free online dating website for music lovers

All Indie Ltd, a Banbury based creator of music orientated websites, announces the launch of www.MusicDating.com, a free online dating website created specifically for anyone with a passion for music.
Co-owner Paul Warner said “We see MusicDating.com as a ‘social net-dating’ website as it includes the well-known ‘web 2.0’ functions, so people will be comfortable using it for dating. Our aim is that no-one goes to a gig alone again”.
The site has features including; a ‘tag cloud’ so that users can quickly find like-minded users, a calendar for users to list and buy tickets for the gigs they are attending and integration with last.fm so users can listen to and show off their playlists.
After having a promotional stall at the Glastonbury and Truck festivals, the website already has users from all over the world. The strategy is to establish the MusicDating brand by sponsoring and hosting music nights and events.
The site was the idea of two friends from university who realised after years of gig-going that many relationships were forged on the sound basis of people’s musical tastes.
They believed that other dating websites were too generic for the serious music buff. So they created a simple, secure platform to enable everyone to embrace their musical tastes and share their love for music.
