We take pleasure in inviting you to the in-movies.co.uk awards ceremony, when the site will be announcing the winner of their short film script competition. The competition was sponsored by Kodak and Panavision is being supported by Janet Anderson, Minister for Film and Broadcasting who will be presenting an award to the winner on Monday, 11 December at the exclusive Cobden Club, W10, from 7:30pm till late.
The aim of the competition was to find and fund a talented new filmmaker to shoot a ten minute short at the start of 2001. The script will be produced for free on 35mm film courtesy of the sponsors Kodak. In addition, the winner will have their short entered into all the major film festivals as well as being screened on the in-movies.co.uk web site.
Entrants do not have to hold any professional experience and have been encouraged to submit their scripts, which will be judged by a panel of experts from the industry. They include Simone Horrocks, winner of the Panorama Short Film Award, the director of ‘The Man Who Cried’, with Johny Depp, Slim Daly and Kim Legatt, Managing Director of the Short Film Bureau.

It is an exciting opportunity for the winner to have their film produced on a good budget with a professional crew that will be broadcast to the world"
