Bookcrossing, the latest internet craze that has people leaving tagged books on park benches for others to find and report on, has reached new heights as a manuscript left in Primrose Hill has made it’s way to the Dalai Lama
His Holiness, during a recent visit to Edinburgh (Nov 19th 2005) was handed a manuscript which it is claimed could change the course of history and guarantee the survival of the human race, only to be told he could not take it with him. The holders of the text did however offered to travel anywhere in the world to allow the Tibetan Nobel Peace Laureate the opportunity to read it.
While not being available in any shops, the release of 50 manuscript copies in the North London area, has caused quite a storm, with websites and discussion groups springing up, and long lists forming of people who can’t wait to read this work. that claims no author, and is entitled Unlock Reality. (just google "Unlock Reality" and see for yourself!)
It is reportedly having a strange effect on people who come in contact with it. One schoolteacher doing proof reading left for the Himalayas with his copy, not having been seen since, while an editor in her 70s took up sky diving shortly after completing work on the text. The rumour is, people are being warned of its possible effect before being allowed to work on it. Even the Dalai Lama has been warned to take care when a special audience is being arranged for him to read it next year.
