CLICKATELL IS THE FUTURE IN ON-LINE SMS
Clickatell, the newly-launched communications-marketing portal, has penetrated the on-line communications market by providing web-businesses the facility to have SMS messages sent for free from any site, globally.
Apparently the market is falling over its feet to get hold of the product, Danie du Toit, Marketing Director of Clickatell says. "It's because we provide something which only a few sites had access to before, and we provide it for free. We've exceeded all expectations, signing up more than 6 times the amount of sites anticipated in the first month!"
Clickatell is adamant that their free SMS service will propell them into the future. They aim to become the default SMS name in the market within the next 4 months. This would seem possible amid a very confused trade because of Clickatell's strong focus on getting SMS services out to the final frontier - the web in any shape and form of web-sites adopting their service. Clickatell is the first site in the history of the web to provide this drag-and-drop SMS service to any site. It takes less than 4 minutes to set it up on your web site and have your visitors spreading the word about it.
Clickatell positions itself as a marketing group apart from the communications facilities which they offer. The reason is that each message sent from a site also actively promotes that site by adding the URL from where it was sent. This makes it ideally focused on sharing web-experiences.
What is also interesting is the fact that Clickatell launched its Desktop client at the same time, giving anybody the ability to send an SMS right from their home PC. All they need is a connection to the internet to be able to start firing off as many SMS messages as they like. This is also a world first with Clickatell coupling it with their high-powered Speedmail.
As a result of the positive market response and international ratings they have received (ie 4 out of 5 cows at Tucows.com), their client base is growing (almost) out of proportion. Clickatell is confident that they are geared for the impact that the uptake will have on the company, already planning to open offices in Europe and the USA in the first six months of next year. This would seem necessary if the numbers continue to climb as they are doing now, and this is only their first line of products. The next are planned for early next year, rolling out their Integrated On-Line Communicatios solutions. About this, Clickatell is tight-lipped, only saying that it is set to revolutionise Internet marketing.
