UCKG NEW ZEALAND COMMEMORATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY

The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) is commemorating its first anniversary in New Zealand. On August 2004 the Church initiated its activities at Henderson Primary School, in Henderson. Holding weekly prayer meetings, people from every walk of life were learning and witnessing the power of Jesus Christ in their lives.
“Having experienced some few churches in the past, I noticed that at the UCKG there was no need to book an appointment to speak to the pastor. I was amazed by the dedication and forwardness in which the UCKG carries its Ministry. I’ve been growing in my faith and learning how to overcome problems by putting into practice what I hear in the Church,” said Joanne Angatai.
Currently providing prayer meetings of faith and worshipping at the Salvation Army Congress Hall facilities in Auckland, attendance at the Kiwi UCKG branch has increased since then. Bishop Wellington Marcelo who’s overseeing the Church in Australasia was emphatic when saying that New Zealand was part of God’s Plan. “New Zealand is a great country with both beautiful people and landscapes. Yet, we noticed that many suffer unnecessarily for not benefiting from the basic principles of faith. The UCKG doesn’t want be one more church in the land, but make the difference by facing the ‘hardcore of our society’s spiritual and social problems’. Without religiousness or fanaticism, people can depend on their faith in God together with responsible actions to unfold the Gospel’s promises in their way of living. I thank God for assisting His people and Ministry at this beginning. However much is still to be done and we are looking forward to unite our faith with many others who will compose the army of faith,” said the Bishop.
