Help to write war out of future history!

While ever we continue to pour money into the military we are saying that a peaceful world can only be achieved through war, as we know this is not the case.

As Martin Luther King, Jr said "Wars are poor chisels for carving out peaceful tomorrows".

Globally, we spend $840 billion every year on the military.

‘Transform the Military’ suggest that we convert just 1/3 of that amount each year to fix the following problems.
*Eliminate Starvation and Malnutrition $19 billion
*Provide Shelter $27.5 billion
*Provide Health Care and AIDS Control $15 billion
*Stabilise Population $10.5 billion
*Prevent Soil Erosion $24 billion
*Eliminate Illiteracy $5 billion
*Provide Clean Water $50 billion
*Clear Land mines $2 billion
*Disarm Nuclear Weapons $7 billion
*Support Democracy $2 billion
*Halt Deforestation $7 billion
*Address Global Warming $8 billion
*Prevent Acid Rain $8 billion
*Stop Ozone Depletion $5 billion
*Retire Developing Nations debt. $30 billion

Leave Planet Earth in better condition than we found it.
‘Transform the Military’ is the way to make world peace a reality.
Insist that capital, personnel and expertise as well as the budget be redirected towards human and environmental needs. Don’t just ask governments to redirect funds, ask them to embrace a new way of thinking.
