The More You Give It, The More You Get It - A New Approach to Charity
WORLDWIDE—DECEMBER, 2006— Jesus Christ said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. He also said, “Ask and it will be given to you.” Matthew Moran Ministries has found a way to marry together both ideas with the “give it, Get It” program.
The “give it, Get It” program offers a way for people to give to charity and receive something in return. In an age when many put their hope in winning the next lottery drawing, “give it, Get It” offers a more globally beneficial alternative. Give your money to the charity of your choice and you just may get something in return for your generosity. “give it” AND “Get It”...GET IT?
Matthew Moran, Founder and Director of the “give, it, Get It” program, started the program as a way to join together all the competing needs of the world: personal needs, neighborly needs and global needs.
“Our first instinct is always to give,” says Matthew Moran. “But, unfortunately our own needs and desires often get in the way. The “give it, Get It” program helps to eliminate this struggle by providing a way to meet everyone’s needs at the same time. When you give to the “give it, Get It” program you know you are giving to support a great charity that meets the needs of others. You also know that if you are selected you will have the option of receiving a financial gift to help meet your own needs as well or doubling the donation made to your selected charity. Even if you are not selected, you know that your money still goes to a great charity and may benefit the needs of one of your fellow donors, as well. No matter how you slice it, everyone wins!”
And, “slice” is the word, as everyone involved with the “give it, Get It” program has the opportunity to share “a piece of the pie” donated each month. Each month all the donors are entered into a drawing. If selected, donors may elect to receive a portion of all the donated each month for themselves or to double the amount given to charity.
