World leaders in yacht transportation, Peters & May, are once again centre stage when it comes to moving yachts to and from boat shows. A ship was chartered to bring in motor yachts for display at The Southampton Boat Show. The boats, including the new Azimut Leonardo 98’, were lifted directly into the water under the watchful eye of Peters & May’s team of load Superintendents using a massive floating crane as the ship lay at anchor in Southampton Water. Other boats included an 82’ sailing yacht, a 75’ Sunseeker, 2 x 62’ Azimuts and a 54’ Birchwood. The delicate operation was carried out with precision and care and all the boats were delivered well within the tight timeframe – a testament to Peters & May’s 33 years in the industry. Just a few days after bringing in the ship for the Southampton Boat Show, another vessel was loaded with 9 motor yachts bound for the Genoa Boat Show whilst Peters & May will be shipping a further 12 to Spain for the Barcelona Show. Hard on the heels of the European Shows, Peters& May have no fewer than 19 motor yachts to ship to the Fort Lauderdale Show from the UK and Mediterranean. This high value shipment includes 4 Sunseekers including a 90’ Yacht, Sanlorenzo 88, 68’ Fairline, Hanse 54 and Princess 65 among others. In addition to all the show action Peters & May have been continuing their regular support for international regattas with the shipment of Farr 40’s from Newport RI to the Mediterranean following the Farr 40 World Championships.
