It is a matter of proud for India that the unique 13 pages calendar produced last year by Ludhiana based printing shop, Foil Printer, has been included as an important document at the Printing History Museum at Beijing, China.
A brainchild of Mr. Kamal Chopra, the calendar offers a complete history of printing that goes back to over 100,000 years. But more than that, it offers rich tributes to the unsung heroes who made the written expression possible with the sweat of their brow.
For this first ever effort any where, Mr. Chopra has received appreciation letters from the President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, after he sent copies of the calendar to them.
As per the communication received by Mr. Chopra, from the China Printing Museum, Institute of Graphic Communication, Beijing, considering the value of the material and importance of the calendar, the authorities as announced to place it as an important document at the China Printing Museum, which is the biggest printing museum in the world.
