Added: (Wed Dec 13 2006)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Turkish tourism has been very much limited to the touristic destination along the Aegean and Mediterranean Coasts. However, if Turkey wants to be a rising star in the world tourism market, it should increase the number of the destinations it presents to the world market.
It is suggested that the two turkish islands in the Aegean Sea-Gokceada and Bozcaada- shall be two new destinations in the turkish tourism.
Gokceada is the most western part of Turkey. One can reach there by ferry from Canakkale or Kabatepe on the Gallipoli peninsula. ( ca. 2 hours)
http://www.gokceada.com/ is a site which can be advised for seeing the possibilities there.
Bozcaada may be accessed first by bus from Canakkale to Geyikli-Yukyeri pier ( ca. 40 minutes) and then by ferry ( ca. 35-40 minutes).
http://www.bozcaada.info/ and http://www.bozcaadatenedos.com/
are two good websites about Bozcaada.
