Burma Democratic Concern today called for United Nations to give Ultimate Ultimatum to the junta.
This is the time United Nations to give ultimate ultimatum to the Junta to co operate fully with the international community. Ultimate ultimatum should include bench marks and dead line.
We are now in race against time. This is the time to take action “NOW”. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all Burmese people. It would be ruinous for the United Nations to overlook the urgency of the Burma’s situation.
Why should we waste our time talking with illegitimate government, instead United Nations should listen to the outcry of Burmese people. United Nations fail to press the regime to honour the results of the 1990 elections for twenty years. Because of these consequences; thousands of people lost their lives, thousands in prisons and now millions of innocent people are at risk of dying.
Now we can see crystal clear again that military junta is not focusing on saving people’s lives.
This time UN should make sure to listen to the people’s will.
