Pressbox (Press Release) -
Invest in ME today publish the story from Norway's NRK Television programme -Puls - which links the neurological illness myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) with meningitis vaccine trials from the 1980s.
The story, translated by Invest in ME with the permission of NRK, follows determined work by the NRK Puls journalists who have worked with the Norwegian ME Association to compile evidence on young people with ME who believe they have developed the illness after receiving the meningitis vaccination when they were at school. The number of cases has now risen to almost 100.
The Norwegian National Institute of Public Health has now decided to study the reported link between these vaccinane trials and ME.
ME Patients are also being advised on seeking compensation from the Norwegian Patient Injury Compensations Board.
