Up, Up and Away – Hypnotherapy can help you conquer your fear of flying this summer
Added: (Wed May 14 2008)
Sun, sea and sangria – your dream holiday in the sun? Not if you’re one of the 40% of us who are afraid of flying.
With summer nearly here, people’s thoughts are moving towards booking their annual holiday, but what if they have a fear of flying?
There are thought to be more than 10,000 people that have such a fear they avoid flying, settling instead for UK destinations; or those who book holidays abroad and are unable to look forward to their holiday due to their irrational dread of flying.
But it doesn’t have to be a lifelong fear - Neath based Clinical Hypnotherapist Sue Preston, uses the latest techniques of hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming and life coaching techniques to ensure her clients can overcome their fears for good.
Hypnotherapy is one the most effective and easy methods to ‘cure’ phobias of all types, and is recommended as a treatment by the National Phobic Society.
Hypnotherapy is used by people from all walks of life to overcome all sorts of phobias such as fear of dogs, fear of snakes, claustrophobia, fear of heights, agoraphobia, fear of dental treatment and fear of needles.
Hypnotherapy is a completely safe enjoyable and relaxing experience, a pleasant state of altered awareness (or trance state). Contrary to popular myth you do not go to sleep, clients are totally in control, aware of all their senses and alert to what is happening at all times.
Sue Preston, who is approved by the National Phobic Society, stated today “Fears and phobias are usually irrational and deep within our subconscious. I work with clients to teach their subconscious to enjoy or even be excited about flying. This has dramatic effects which means that the feelings of anxiety usually experienced are simply replaced with more appropriate feelings such as relaxation or excitement.”
“More and more people are finding that hypnotherapy is a powerful and transformative tool, helping them make the changes that they want in their lives. People can often get their life back in as little as one or two sessions.”
