Pressbox (Press Release) - The People’s President Speaks Out About HIV and AIDS

With 40 million people worldwide infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, World AIDS Day has taken on a new importance in order to face this global epidemic. Today, 2008 Presidential Contender Daniel Imperato spoke out on the matter.

“I send my sympathy and prayers to all of the people who’ve been infected and contracted the AIDS virus and all families and friends who’ve experienced death from this nasty virus,” commented Imperato.

Although he showed sympathy for all people who are living with this deadly disease, he had stern remarks for those who spread the disease through sex crimes.

“My stern remarks go to the sex offenders and to the people who have unconditionally subjected themselves to contracting AIDS through inappropriate sexual conduct,” expressed Imperato.

Imperato felt that there has been a lack of education about AIDS and that funds have not been properly spend for the cause.

“My sincere sadness is directed toward the global community and the people who’ve contracted AIDS because of improper education and because of the huge amount of pillaging from the funding that has been allocated to such programs.”

“It disgusts me to think of the misappropriation of funds which should have been allocated normally to the treatment of AIDS, and on education and awareness promotion pertaining to AIDS.”

With more effective awareness campaign and more efficient spending, Imperato felt that more effective results can be achieved.

“While I have spent time in the past advising the African Center Foundation on HIV and AIDS, an NGO led by Dr. Idris Badmus, I regret to say that my findings during the last General Assembly meeting pertaining to AIDS and Africa has directed my attention to the information provided to me that nearly 8 billion dollars has been spent in Africa alone and about only 1 million Africans have received medical treatment for this deadly disease.”

Africa, with only 10 percent of the world's population, suffers over half of its HIV infections.

Imperato then pledged to enforce accountability around the globe for AIDS funding.

“When I become the leader of the United States of America I will unconditionally, without a doubt, clamp down on the policing of the funding which is been allocated for this terrible sickness. I will also reach out for more public awareness activity and education of the AIDS virus through media and broadcast, mark my words.”

Imperato then finished his statement with the following remarks, “And the last thing that I have to say to the people of the US and the rest of the world is that rules and regulations have been spelled out pertaining to sexual conduct since the beginning of time, I reach out for the people of the world to take seriousness pertaining to their actions concerning this matter.”
