Tahitian Noni International to receive special United Nations award for corporate responsibility
John Wadsworth announces that Tahitian Noni® Juice is the number-one export of French Polynesia
Provo, Utah - John Wadsworth announced today that the Company would be receiving a special United Nations award from the International Council on Caring Communities (ICCC). The Corporation with Social Responsibility award is to be presented to the five founders at a luncheon on February 11, 2004, at the United Nations building in New York in conjunction with the annual ICCC conference.
In a special announcement letter, the committee stated, "We are pleased to inform you that the ICCC Executive Board and Awards Committee have selected Tahitian Noni International to receive the ICCC Corporation with Social Responsibility award for its visionary approach to improving the quality of life in communities around the world. The Committee recognizes Tahitian Noni International for its outstanding efforts in improving local populations by bridging the development and export of a product that has been part of the culture of French Polynesia for thousands of years into a practical means for economic, health, and social impact worldwide."
They continued by saying, "We would like to recognize your founders for their outstanding stewardship, visionary approach, and innovative initiatives that have lead to meaningful change worldwide. This award was established to encourage, recognize, and enhance awareness of outstanding and sustainable achievement in improving the quality of life in global and rural settlements."
They concluded by saying, "...thus, for your corporation's courage, initiatives, and unique accomplishments, we would like to bestow this award during the Public-Private Partnership luncheon, Wednesday, February 11, 2004."
Kelly Olsen, president of Tahitian Noni International stated, "We are extremely pleased and honored that the committee has chosen to recognize the accomplishments of our company as well as our thousands of distributors worldwide. Also John Wadsworth announced that in a meeting with Edward Fritch, vice-president of French Polynesia, it was confirmed that Tahitian Noni International is now the number-one export overall in French Polynesia. "We were formerly the number-one agricultural export, but were behind black pearls in dollar volume," stated John. "Now we are the absolute number-one export of French Polynesia."
