Pressbox (Press Release) - Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has released the 2812EVM-II DSP evaluation board, an upgrade to its popular TI TMS320F2812 evaluation board, 2812EVM-I. The evaluation board uses an independent power supply for A/D sampling that protects it from electro-magnetic interference (EMI) from the computing unit. This well-designed module is packed with drivers and control systems and is based on a TMS320F2812 DSP from Texas Instruments.
This practical evaluation board, model 2812EVM-II, provides an on-board VL-Bus and data, address and control access terminals. It features on-chip flash program memory, an extended SARM, 4k*16 BOOT ROM and 1k*16 OTP ROM on-chip. This evaluation board has eight LEDs providing convenient status indication and a RS-232 interface for PC communication. The selectable power source switches between external power supply and USB interface. The evaluation board provides CLK, CS2, CS2, CS6, RD, WR, CS1571, RS1581, EVA, EVB, IN1 to IN8, OUT1 to OUT8 signal testing points and debugging points.
