Stem Cell Global Foundation in 2009 World Stem Cell Summit

Added: (Tue Jun 16 2009)

Stem Cell Global Foundation has now achieved international recognition, as it is addressing to the stem cell concerns of global community including the doctors, patients, researchers, corporate, academicians & ethicists etc. around the world. SCGF is stepping ahead on the same path by working collaboratively with the Genetics Policy Institute (GPI), Florida for 2009 World Stem Cell Summit.

Stem Cell Global Foundation has become an organizational supporter of the 2009 World Stem Cell Summit which is going to take place from September 21-23, 2009 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland. The World Stem Cell Summit is the ReGEN Industry's flagship event, bringing together the entire stem cell universe to chart the future of regenerative medicine.

“Stem Cell Global Foundation has become an organizational supporter of the 2009 World Stem Cell Summit. This is a visibility for visibility relationship.” says Mr. Alan Fernandez from GPI, the organizer of 2009 Summit.

The 2009 World Stem Cell Summit is having Johns Hopkins University, the University System of Maryland, Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, Maryland technology Development Corporation and Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund as the partners this year.

The 2009 Summit will feature an advanced science track featuring some of the world's most prominent scientists addressing the latest discoveries in basic research, translational and preclinical findings, bioengineering and cellular scaffold initiatives, clinical trials updates, and an in depth look at the pharmaceutical industry's short term and long term vision for stem cells. “By September there will be 120+ speakers on the 09 agenda….which I assure will be comprehensive, timely and direct….and most certainly applicable to everyone attending”, Mr. Alan informs.

Stem Cell Global Foundation addressing to the concerns of global stem cell community, hopes that education and collaborations will transpire through this Summit. “Stem cells have shown great potential and have effectively helped patients. But these are a neglected resource that could be used to treat a diverse body of people. SCGF would provide the required platform to bring all available stem solutions in front of needy Patients." says Mr. Karan Goel, the Chairman of Stem Cell Global Foundation.

SCGF, formerly working under Stem Cell Voice of India, is a welfare organization to bring researchers, clinicians, patients, ethicists, corporates & general public etc. on one platform. Hence, by presenting the unbiased picture of stem cell field, SCGF aims to make Stem Cells a "Hope" rather than "Hype".

Dr. Ramananda Nadig, the Dean of Clinical Research Education & Management Academy expressed, "If the dictum’ Blood for Blood ‘holds good so should’ Cells for cells’ And SCGF is the right effort to Encourage initial response from various pilot studies for Stem cells to be explored as an Alternative/Adjuvant to mainstream options in various diseases. "

Thus, SCGF - GPI collaboration supporting 2009 Summit will prove to be an enlightening source in the field of Stem Cell technology not only in India but throughout the world.
