While none of us would look forward to taking our teeth out at night, the reality is that many people struggle to wear dentures that are often loose and uncomfortable. At the practice we often hear patients express their frustrations with dentures that are loose making eating, speaking and socialising difficult. In fact it is common for people wearing dentures to change their lifestyles to avoid potentially embarrassing situations where their dentures might let them down, such as eating in restaurants and socialising with friends.
With the new Fast & Fixed procedure we are making denture wearers of all ages smile again in no time at all.
The Fast & Fixed technique uses dental implants to securely fix teeth in place. While dental implants have been used for many years with great success, the Fast & Fixed technique allows patients to be treated faster and at far less cost than ever before. In the past patients would have to undergo extensive treatment, often taking many months, before they could have fixed in place teeth. With the Fast & Fixed approach implants are placed and the teeth are securely fitted at the same time, leaving patients smiling again in no time at all.
One recently treated patient said "I can now smile, eat and speak with a confidence that I haven't had for years and I'm really grateful for the care and attention that has gone into producing such a fantastic result".
Dr Nesbitt, Specialist in Oral Surgery at Shenstone Dental Centre says "the Fast & Fixed approach is a real step forward in treating patients. The technique is relatively straightforward and predictable. We've had great results to date with this new approach and, because it is so much more cost effective, it gives many more people the option of getting rid of their denture. Hopefully dentures will become a thing of the past".
