MCC of Greater St. Louis, is proud to announce the opening of the "Hope and Help Center". Serving our community with a source for referrals and services for the needs of our area. Currently available online, this HUB, is to provide connections, and foster a dialogue allowing visitors to seek counseling, information, transportation, or offer help to those who need it.
Our motto: "It All Started with a Causal Conversation"
The Hope and Help Center is a ministry of Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis. Funding for this project was provided by the Missouri Foundation for Health. Our mission is to provide referral services for the community, with a special focus on the HIV/AIDS services in our region.
The Missouri Foundation for Health is a philanthropic organization whose vision is to improve the health of the people in the communities it serves with a particular focus on the uninsured, and underinsured.
MCC of Greater St. Louis (MCCGSL) was established in 1973, as St. Louis' first LGBT community based church. Currently meeting at 112 Sidney Street, St. Louis, MO 64104. In June 2008, MCCGSL purchased a facility at 1919 South Broadway, with a $2 million renovation underway.
The Hope and Help Center, will be housed at this 30,000 sqft facility beginning around Spring 2009, as a part of the Larger Organization
