Introducing Mrs Oorloff
Added: (Fri Feb 15 2008)
Until recently savvy Londoners who wanted the best in bespoke pampering body and face treatments would head West to names like Harrods' Urban Retreat, Eve Lom and Amanda Lacey. But now, it seems West London just isn't West enough as Londoners in search of the ultimate treat are heading all the way to a secluded 17th century farm house set in the beautiful Oxfordshire Country.side
This is where Mrs Oorloff works ''her magic'' as so many of her clients call it. Far from feeling as though they are on a conveyor belt, fitted in between a leg wax and an anti -ageing treatment, from the moment they arrive clients enjoy a relaxed unhurried experience that is totally centred around them.
Visits to Mrs Oorloff are not to be rushed. Clients slip into a thick and luxurious robe and a pair of slippers(they take the latter home with them) and just sit back in Mrs Oorloff's ''big white chair''. Here she stem towels and massages their feet and takes the time to find out how clients are feeling both physically and emotionally. She asks them about their concerns and expectations and uses this extra pre-treatment chill-out period to devise a bespoke prescription that combines what their body is telling her it needs, together with a little of what they fancy.
It's very unusual for any two visits to be the same. In the therapy room she draws upon treatments which include accupressure points, Indian Head massage, Indonesian Massage, stone therapy, lymphatic drainage, sports therapy, Swedish massage, aspects of reflexology and aromatherapy, and of course the best anti-ageing facial treatments.
Mrs Oorloff's great gift is the luxury of time. No one is booked in conveyor-belt style so at the end of their appointment clients have a chance to snooze, enjoy a beverage or just slowly float back down to earth in their own way.
Mrs Oorloff also works with cosmetic surgeons, ensuring that thier clients' skin is strong enough pre-op to enable quicker recovery time. It 's quite normal for full face lift aappointments to be reduced to minor operation such as an eye lift due to the results from her regular facials and home care maintenance routine. She has been a Sports Therapist for the golfers of the PGA, 9Professional Golf Association), going on to work with the Australian Medical Team in Canberra, for the University Olympic Games in Buffalo USA, before practising in Spas throughout Europe.
Mrs Oorloff is based in Witney, a short drive from Oxford. You can find out more at www.mrsoorloff.co.uk
