Water: A person should have eight glasses of water every day. All the fizzy drinks should be avoided. Water is the most effective way to lose weight.
Meals: Have your meals in breaks during a day. Do not stuff yourself in each meal. This helps your body to release less insulin, which in turn keeps blood sugar in control and thus reduces hunger.
Walk: You can lose the extra calories by walking forty-five minutes a day if you have a sitting job.
Small portions: While serving yourself food, take smaller plates. Research shows that the lesser the food kept in front of us, the lesser food we eat.
Vegetables: include all the water-rich foods in your diet. They reduce your overall consumption of calories.
White food: You should avoid taking white foods because they contain great amount of carbohydrates.
Coffee: A working person has about three cups of coffee per day. Switch to ordinary coffee with skimmed milk, which has lesser calories.
Home: Avoid eating out, as we tend to eat more high-fat and high calorie foods outside our homes.
Speed: Learn to eat slowly, and keep down your fork or spoon after each bite. Eating slower makes you feel contended with the food you eat.
Necessity: Often people eat when they are frustrated, sad or angry. Make it a habit of eating only when your stomach wants it.
Fruit: Make it a habit of including fruits rather than pure fruit juices in your daily diet. They contain more calories.
Stable: Do not sit in one place for more than an hour. Stand up and go for a walk or stretch your legs for a few minutes before going back to work. This will make your body more active.
Dinner: Before dinner, take a walk. This not only cuts down your calories but also reduces your appetite.
Groups: Usually people sitting with large groups eat more, as they are together at the table for a longer time.
TV: Why not skip TV and go for a walk occasionally. Or else finish your domestic chores like cleaning or washing, etc. This helps in burning out calories.
Noon: Try to include the calorie foods before noon. As you have more chances of burning those calories in the afternoons than the nights.
Yogurt: Fill your fridge with low-fat yogurt. This will cut down almost 500 calories from your daily diet. Eat yogurt three times in a day for twelve weeks, this will help you lose weight and body fat.
