Flexible processes and strategic marketing are key challenges for taking needle-free injectors to market says PA Consulting Group
At the 7th International Conference on Needle-Free Auto Injectors in London on 25 and 26 February, *Ian Bradley of PA Consulting Group - the leading management, systems and technology consulting firm - will outline the key challenges in product development and marketing of medical devices, and strategies to successfully overcome them.
For the benefit of industry people within R&D, marketing and strategic management disciplines, Ian will provide insight to speedy commercialisation of healthcare products. In particular he will outline new product introduction processes and new product marketing initiatives, proven to work for PA clients across the healthcare industry, which show how:
· Late stage product development is a highly situational, multi-functional activity
· People with generic project management skills following ‘cookie cutter’ product development processes will struggle to lead these programmes
· Those with learning from previous experience, skills in building multifunctional teams and flexible, adaptable processes stand the best chance of success
· Getting the strategic marketing basics right is critical for breakout new products: understanding the value proposition, getting the delivery channels right and targeting key customer groups.
