There always has been a debate about you get what you paid for. We, as human beings have this perception that if you pay more for an item it must be superior. That is so not true. An item’s value is really not based upon the price but on the usefulness it brings to your day. For example, could you really put a price on things that make your life easier such as the internet? I mean, imagine all the hassle you would have gone through if you had to spend hours and hours searching for what you are looking for. Just like in the case of cheap scrubs, you can find what you are looking for because of the internet.

Most scrub dealers will have you believe the same perception also. They will make you believe that paying more for a set of scrubs yields better quality. However, that is not the case. Since most scrubs are 65% polyester 35% cotton, it really doesn’t matter what kind of brands you choose, since they are of the same fabric. Most of them are made in China, and the only difference is the branding that goes on them. Most of them are even made in the same factory but the marketing and distribution is where the difference comes in. When you are purchasing a set of nursing scrubs, that is exactly what you are paying for. You are pretty much paying for the marketing that comes into the distribution and branding for the scrubs.

The reason why cheap scrubs are so beneficial to a nurse would be their cost. They are the same material if not better than the popular name brand ones but cost less. This can save you money and time by saving you painful hours agonizing all over the internet for the perfect scrubs. There is no such thing as anything perfect, we all know that. However, because of the internet, and the power of the search engine such as Google, one can come pretty close.
