Norwich based natural health centre, I Dream of Floating, have launched a new Internet-based service for anyone interested in better health through alternative and complementary therapies. Health-conscious web surfers can now complete the company’s “holistic health check” from the comfort and convenience of home or office.
“More and more people are using complementary therapies and products, but many don’t know where to start,” says Julia Staff, an ex-psychiatric nurse who runs I Dream of Floating with husband Trevor. “This new approach allows people to assess their lifestyle choices and helps them to see what impact those choices may have on their health and vitality.”
“Whilst it’s not a prescription or diagnosis, the ‘virtual check-up’ gives users a starting point in what can be a confusing mass of sometimes contradictory information. Many of our clients would like to live healthier lifestyles using alternative approaches, but don’t know where to begin.” Adds Julia, a qualified stress management consultant.
The results of the health check have guided clients towards appropriate ways to de-stress and relax including the use of floatation tanks, massage therapy, nutritional products and the centre’s latest addition – a “SoQi Total Health Spa”. The SoQi Spa is a new total body therapy that combines the benefits of relaxing massage, improved circulation, increased oxygenation and detoxification, specially imported from Australia.
“We find that people really enjoy using the Spa and many liken the feeling they get to sunbathing because it’s so relaxing. They are impressed too by its efficiency and find it convenient because they can use it with their clothes on.” Says Julia. “A typical 30-minute session produces very tangible results, often leaving clients pain-free, uplifted and refreshed - and often wanting more! We take the increasingly popular view that by supporting the metabolism and boosting the immune system, the body can deal with many of the chronic conditions and diseases that plague the western world.”
One satisfied user, Karen Flynn has experienced life-changing results: “I was really stressed and worried about my long-term health,” said Karen, who has a demanding job in the financial services sector, “The help I’ve received from the team at I Dream of Floating has been invaluable. I have been living my life in a more positive and healthy way recently thanks to their support.”
The service, which can be found at www.idreamoffloating.co.uk is completely anonymous and confidential, but users wishing to share their results can get support and guidance at the click of a button, as well as a regular email based health-tips newsletter.
