Campaign to Help the Bereaved

Added: (Tue Jun 27 2006)

‘Loved today, yesterday and forever more’

A National Campaign to help raise public awareness and promote the invaluable service bereavement-related organisations provide, in turn helping to de-stigmatise death and alleviating the suffering of those left behind.

The Remembrance Wristband and Pin Badges have been launched with the wording:
“Loved today, yesterday and forever more”

The charities to benefit from the sale of these items are:
• CADD (Campaign Against Drinking & Driving)
• Cruse Bereavement Care
• SAMM (Support After Murder & Manslaughter
• SCARD (Support & Care After Road Death & Injury)
• SOBS (Survivors Of Bereavement by Suicide)
• The Compassionate Friends
• The Way Foundation

The wristbands and badges are currently available through the websites www.chariband.co.uk and www.crusebereavementcare.org.uk
and also through several funeral directors in the South East of England who are helping to promote the Campaign to Help the Bereaved.

With all the organisations (big and small) working together to help raise public awareness, helping each other – helping the bereaved.

The Remembrance wristband and badges will prove to be an enormous comfort to family and friends as it is a permanent reminder and consolation of a loved one. It is a symbol that openly demonstrates that a person is in mourning.
