Wave Dispersion Technologies, Inc. Awarded U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Contract for WhisprWave® Breakwater Technology
Summit, New Jersey - September 15, 2003 - Wave Dispersion Technologies (WDT) http://www.whisprwave.com announced today it has been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Contract # GS-07F-0820N effective September 12, 2003 for its WhisprWave® Floating Breakwater and Maritme Port Security Technology. Rozycki Associates, a federal contracts consulting firm, assisted the Company. The GSA Schedule enables WDT to sell the WhisprWave® to all U.S. Government agencies worldwide.
The WhisprWave® barriers are specifically designed in a modular format to increase the product's flexibility and strength for maritime applications. WhisprWave®‘s distinct design and application allow it to withstand storm waves and sustained winds of more than 80 knots.
WhisprWave® breakwater technology has wide-ranging maritime applications from erosion control to Homeland Security. The Company has been developing the technology for several years and holds 7 Domestic and International Patents for the WhisprWave®’s unique design and utility, with an additional 20 patents pending.
“The GSA contract award facilitates the growing interest and demand we are experiencing from the various government and military departments that see the potential Homeland Security applications for WhisprWave®” stated CEO Dennis Smith.
Maritime Port Security Buoys and Barriers:
To facilitate the security needs of the US Navy, US Coast Guard, US Army, other government agencies and commercial interests, the company has developed the WhisprWave® Technology Line of Demarcation, Exclusion Barriers, and Security Zone Buoys for Homeland Security and Force Protection. The unique characteristics of the WhisprWave® Homeland Defense Products include mobility, marine grade design and off-the-shelf availability for Homeland Security Maritime Security Zone demarcation applications, a requirement recently mandated by the USCG for all nuclear power plants due to heightened concerns about terrorism.
