H. Duthel, ex Colonel, twice Consul HC of PDR of Angola and Uganda, special Envoy to the United Nation as Ambassador for the KNLU to obtain independence from Burma, ex negotiator for the release of the reminding POW/MIA in Vietnam on behalf of ex US Presidential Candidate Ross Perot, now author and journalist has official requested the Government of Iraq, the High Court in Baghdad, the honourable Judge Raouf Abdel-Rahman, chief attorney, Khalil al-Dulaimi, the Interior Ministry to be appointed as defence lawyer for Saddam Hussein. Six earlier letters from H. Duthel to Saddam Hussein has never been delivered to Saddam Hussein.
H. Duthel is member of the Coalition for an International Criminal Court in New York, member of the German BdWi (Federation of democratic Scientifics) and a Philippines qualified Law degree holder of Military and Diplomatic Laws. H. Duthel made no statements today on TV5 why he would become a defence lawyer but he strongly defends the argumentation that Saddam Hussein must and should be but on trial on the International Court and not in Iraq, a nation witch is in civil war, where the Chief Judge is a Kurd and Iraq is still a occupied national with no free and real legal proceedings. H. Duthel earlier said in an Interview with the Middle East Radio, that once Saddam Hussein is sentenced to death and executed, the occupation forces, will leave; let behind an Iraq like in 1975 the US did with Vietnam. All George Bush is waiting to withdraw his troops is the execution of Saddam Hussein. The civil war, the chaos since the invasion is not of interest for the occupation force. Iraq today is a case for the UN, and Saddam Hussein should immediate be delivered to the International Court, maybe then the world would understand the reason of the illegal invasion of Iraq by the United States, United Kingdom and the so called Coalition of Willing.
If the world, if the United States claims to fight against terror, then they must act as example and not the way around.
The claim of H. Duthel that a transfer of Saddam Hussein to the ICC, the immediate withdraws of the occupation forces and the establishment of a united nation peace force could maybe avoid a new ‘killing field’.
We all must learn, and it is harder to act democratically then the contrary, this is the reason why we have more despots in power the honest leaders.
