Top Ups Direct Plans to Benefit From Government Plans and Help Reduce Consumer Carbon Footprint
Added: (Mon Mar 15 2010)
Online telecommunications brand Top Ups Direct have began targeting areas of the country where it is actually more economical to use their online retail platform than it is to drive to the shops.
This new marketing angle which has been suggest by the Top Up group comes at a welcomed time, with the government broadband scheme being piloted in rural areas of the country.
"Our fees are designed to be both competitive and fair while delivering as much saving to the consumer as possible. With our fees starting as low as £2 a transaction, in some cases it is more cost effective to stay at home and use our service than to drive to the nearest retailer for credit." Said Senior Marketing Manager at the group.
Since its launch in 2007 the group have established themselves in the sector bringing O2 top up, Orange top up and T-Mobile top up facilities to the online platform, while maintaining its original goals. Currently the company is using its buying power to good use and has stepped up its marketing campaign, in particular the county of Suffolk, which is where the government has begun testing the broadband scheme in February.
With a potential 20,000 new families to be put on the world wide web in Suffolk alone and the potential benefit on the environment if people switch to online platforms rather than driving to shops it shows that the group is thinking with its consumers in mind.
If the government are successful in the implementation of this scheme, it will provide an opportunity for the Topup Group to secure its future as an online retailer and also reduce their clients footprint with every transaction that is made. With the government planning that every family in the UK to be online by the end of 2011 this could be the beginning of goods things to come for the Top Ups Direct group and its consumers.
