West Palm Beach, FL – April 5, 2007 – Can he do it? Third Party Presidential Candidate, Daniel Imperato has put together a viable campaign which can achieve ballot access for the White House in 2008.
After one and a half years of studying the American political scene, Imperato has recently joined the Libertarian Party, a party with 26 states of ballot access and an additional 24 states of ballot access that are in the process of being obtained.
The Libertarian party attracted Imperato because the party matches his views of smaller government, individual freedom, and fiscal responsibility. The Libertarian Party is the oldest and the largest third party in the United States and is regarded as "the party of principle."
The Libertarian Party is associated with the Cato Institute in Washington D.C., a major academic and social think tank.
Imperato first launched his exploratory committee in June of 2005. Since that time he has met with independents, members from the Reform and Libertarian party, as well as conducted quantitative and qualitative research regarding his bid for the White House in 2008.
In addition, Imperato has recruited national ballot access expert, Matt Sawyer from Texas to head up his ballot access efforts.
Sawyer was the architect of Ross Perot's ballot access in 1992 and 1996. Perot was the first independent candidate to receive ballot access in all 50 states and won 19.1% of the popular vote.
With ballot access in all 50 states, Imperato could make a major push to win the White House in 2008 and be the wedge between the Democrats and Republicans.
Imperato is calling for all moderate, independent, and third-party voters to support his campaign for the Oval Office in 2008.
According to several CNN polls including those done by Lou Dobbs, the American public would be open to an independent candidate for 2008. In addition, the 2008 Presidential Election is seen as the widest open in history without an incumbent President or Vice President running for the office.
The opportunity for an independent candidate is large, which begs the question: Imperato, Third Party Candidate, Can he do it?
