H Bingham & Son Ltd in Doncaster, has won a £450,000 order from Irish Rail to manufacture and install a train washing plant as a result of working with Trade Partners UK.
The company’s success came as a result of using the South Yorkshire International Trade Centre’s new Targeted Export Support Fund. The trade centre is a partnership between Trade Partners UK, Sheffield City Council, local Chambers of Commerce, universities and the Regional Development Agency.
Stuart Watson, managing director of H Bingham & Son said: “This programme has allowed us to explore new markets. With the support of the trade centre, we hope to become the world leader in train washing by the end of 2003. We now hope to appoint agents in the Far East where there are major investments in the railway industry.”
